DEATH NOTE FONT FTW!!!

Hah, you may remember me posting a pic of this fellow not too long ago, but back then I wasn't really sure what sort of character I was going to make of him. But with a little help from my buddy *posscat I've finally figured it out. For one that first pic I posted of him that I posted made him look like a complete man-whore, when really he's not like that at all, in fact, he's the complete opposite. Isn't he sweet? <3

So this time I'm giving him a proper introduction! Say hello to Raymond everyone! He'll be my very own roleplay character as well as a minor character is *posscat's story 'Bad Luck is my Forte' (BLIMF). Look he even has stats this time! 8D

Distinguishing features: Long, prehensile monkey-like tail, always wears glasses, has two strands of hair on his head which always stick up, always wears smart or casual clothing, talks incredibly fast, looks younger than he actually is.

Loves- BANANAS, milkshakes, reading, retro video games, big numbers, his cat plushie 'Jiggles' (who is apparently female), the Burgundy family (mainly Carlos whom he practically worships, although Carlos doesn't really approve of him. ;D), inventing things, bug collecting and MATH!!!

Hates- Dr. Jaydik Tyler (Dikky), Skye, bullies, coffee, fleas, people grabbing his tail, germs, and smoke and fumes in general as he is asthmatic (doesn't help that Carlos smokes).

Is scared of: Nyros, thunder storms, deep water (he can't swim), needles and pigeons.

Background:
Raymond has had a pretty bad past to say the least. His parents died in a car accident when he was 6 years old and spent the majority of his childhood in an orphanage. He had a pretty rough time there aswell. He had no friends and was considered an outcast amongst the children there. Too often the other children would pick on him, calling him a 'geek' and a 'weirdo' among other names because of his unusual interests and hated him for being smarter than they were. Sadly, Raymond was never adopted or fostered, even though he was desperate to escape that awful place.

However, when he turned 14 he'd decided he'd had enough of his pathetic life in that hell hole of an orphanage and ran away in hope that he could start a newer and better life for himself. Unfortunately, with no money and nowhere to go Raymond ended up living on the streets for a while, an experience he'd rather forget. But one day his luck changed for the better, or so he thought. A middle-aged doctor named Jaydik Tyler (*bec-sparrow's character) found him shivering under a wet blanket on a cold, rainy night in a public park. Jaydik offered Raymond a roof over his head and as much food and drink as he wanted, but at a price. He would have to become his 'assistant' in his science experiments, and Raymond, being quite the lover of science and mathmatics, couldn't possibly refuse. Big mistake. Turns out Dr. Jaydik Tyler (Dikky) is an evil, sadistic scientist who has a hobby of luring young children and teenagers into his house, puting them in tiny cages and using them as guinea pigs in his dastardly science experiments.

And so, not long after his arrival at the Tyler household, Raymond too becomes a guinea pig in many of Jaydik's sinister experiments. One experiment in particular completely turned Raymond's life around, for better and for worse. And that was the 'Chimera' experiment. Jaydik had always had a love for alchemy, especially the technique of fusion. He soon developed an obsession of fusing his human subjects with his animal ones to create awesome hybrid creatures known as chimeras. As luck would have it, Raymond was one of Dikky's earliest subjects and was fused with a monkey and a cat. The results proved unsatifactory in Dikky's eyes. The only physical changes that occured were Raymond gaining a monkey's tail and his iris' changing from green to yellow, resembling a cat's. Thus, Dikky deemed him a failure and caged poor Raymond once more, this time leaving him for dead.

However, there were more changes within Raymond than Jaydik first thought. Raymond had gained the ability to see in the dark, he could talk to animals, and his reflexes surpassed that of humanly possible. He also gained incredible acrobatic skills as well as a constant craving for bananas and milkshakes. But sadly (or maybe not so sadly), in the process of the fusion, Raymond lost all memory of his past before the fusion took place. The only things he could remember were his name, date of birth and the place where he was born, with his cat plushie 'Jiggles' (which he carries with him at all times) as the only reminder of his childhood. Back during his days in the orphanage, Raymond considered Jiggles to be his only friend and talked to her just like a human.

Months passed and the only way Raymond managed to survive for so long was by living off the scraps of food and water the other captive children had saved for him. It wasn't long before Dikky discovered this and had Raymond tranferred to a solitary cage in his laboratory. Knowing that this time he would die for sure, Raymond spent the remainder of his days trying to remember anything about his past, but to no avail. But one day, his luck finally changed for the better when a fellow teenager, who was one of Dikky's 'rized' victims had managed to escape from the evil doctor's clutches and had stumbled across his secret laboratory. His name: Carlos Burgundy (*posscat's character). Carlos freed Raymond from his fatal prison and now Raymond is forever in dept to Carlos for saving his life. Working together the two managed to thwart Dikky and bring an end to his evil schemes by releasing the other children and escaping. Since then Dikky has disappeared, but he may one day come back for vengence.

Since that day, Raymond has put his past behind him and has finally got around to starting a new and better life in which he wants to live to it's fullest. He has caught up on the education he missed, graduated from college, and is now a full-time university student. He also managed to get a part-time job at Starbucks. As for his tail, given the choice to have it amputated, Raymond declined, saying that it came in quite handy from time to time and so he opted to keep it. But to save himself the embarrassment and being considered a 'freak' in public, Raymond disguises his tail as a fuzzy belt (Dragonball Z ref right there! ). As for his eyes, he claims that eating too many bananas as a child turned his eyes yellow. Though only the really gullible believe that.

Recently, Raymond has moved in with Carlos (much to Carlos' disgust) and his wife Becki (*bec-sparrow's character) and their daughter Alex, whom Raymond acts like a big brother to. Raymond proves to be a valuable ally to Carlos when the time comes, but most of the time he's just an annoyance.

Damnit, my fingers are DEAD!!! You have no idea how long that took me to type up. D; Oh well, at least it's over now. I swear I won't make any of my other characters stats as detailed as this. BTW, this is to Livvi and Becca, if you see any plot holes in the background story or something that doesn't quite fit in with the story of BLIMF then lemme know right away so I can change it.
